Wish I had a few of them around here.

Are you keeping your ibex behind a 6ft fence? Yes. Actually where I have my females some is only 5' high. It is a good selling point. When a person gets one of my Ibex they know they will be able to keep it.

When a person gets one of my Ibex they know they will be able to keep it. Yes, that sure is a great selling point. I've read so many stories on how they can climb the inside corners of the fence to get out and that they can jump over an 8 ft fence if they really wanted to. It sounds like what I'm reading is probably a bit exaggerated after reading that you are doing fine with just a 6 ft fence!!! That's good to hear.

They are fine and will not jump unless you get them in a place they don't want to be. For an example. I have an enclosed pen that is 8' high and has a 18" high water trough that is half in and half out of the pen. I had a yearling in the pen and he went under the water to get out. Had to put a divider in the trough to the bottom of it. I had a couple of male yearlings in the pen and they jumped over and out of the pen. I had to put a 3' extension on the top of the pen so it is now 11'. They are fine out in the open and never jump but when you pen them they are a different animal.
