 Loose stool

Came home from out of town after a week and a half. Wife informs me both dogs have the squirts. She had mentioned it a couple days before, but I figured it would pass. It hasn't. They were boarded last weekend at vet's office, and one got rabies and annual boosters. Both got rattlesnake boosters. Can I give them Pepto bismol and see if that helps, before going back to vet?

You can give pepto every 20 minutes if they continue to "squirt" Check there temp. Normal is 101.6)

pure pumkin (like you buy in a can) is good for an upset stomach too. I've used it in the past. Worse come to worse boiled chicken and rice (no butter no seasonings).

I remove food for 24 hrs and then give them nothing but boiled chicken and rice for a couple of days, then start giving giving them a little dry dog food with the chicken & rice for a couple more days. They are usually good after that. If it comes back, I would let a vet check it out.
Haven't had it in years but never spit any out. I am a sucker for happy endings and strapped cowboys.

Thanks for the replies. Actually the older dog didn't eat for a couple days. I tried the pepto bismal. All it did was change the stool color, but the older dog started eating again. Picked up some canine probiotics yesterday. Started getting some form to the stool again. They both have good energy and appetite. Must have caught a bug from the vets kennels. Will take them to vet if this doesn't clear up in a couple more days
