Axis Oscar (Axis venison backstrap with Crabmeat) Bernaise, mushrooms, asparagus, Kale & Asiago pastry side, with a very fine GoldenEye Pinot Nior from Duckhorn. Tried a new recipe with the last of the backstrap. Time to go get more groceries.

I will have some more from the guy that butchers them for me in about a week. I'll provide the fixins, the wine, and a place to sleep. You just wander by and whip that up.  Looks amazing and the presentation is superb.

Thanks y'all. Plans changed for the weekend and I had yesterday off, all by myself, and decided to treat myself and try something new. Pretty happy with the way it turned out. Today I'm back to burgers and TexMex and tequila.

Dang it ..... I was gonna post some photos of my Axis burgers and beer with a side of homemade apple pie but I don't stand a chance now! Happy fourth of July folks
