Look good. But why do you have both males with the females?

The Alpine only looks like 25% Alpine and 75% Nubian, maybe 50/50 at the most. Great pic either way. Really nice.

Don I run them all together in the summer then split them into groups in September before breeding starts.

Thanks, Knowing both the buck and doe he came out of I know that not to be the case.

I noticed there were no kids in the picture. Do you bottle raise all of them?

Bowman24 I'm not trying to tell you that buck is 100% because he's not. Over the years to avoid genetic depression they have been crossed and breed back out. The lack of genetic diversity is the main contributer of low kidding and survival rates in both wild and captive born ibex.

Your photo shows a classic example of a near black Alpine with erect horns (beautiful animal).

This photo is also Alpine ibex taken in the Swiss Alps, much lighter in color with
with a much deeper hook to horns.

If you ever come across any black legged, No bearded, 200+lb 25% Alpine ' s 75% Nubian's with over 12" basses please let me know I'm interested.
