...in Blessing Texas! If you ever find yourself in the neighborhood, it's well worth the time to swing by....

Built in 1906, it is still a fully operating hotel with lots of history and amazing home cooked food! You simple walk in, grab a plate, load it full of incredible food, and find a seat....family style dining!

Good vacation destination. Used to be a place in Fulshear that served up good food family style. Is it still there? Fulshear Farms I think. Great general store BBQ joint in Fulshear too.

I don't get that way often but it looks like a place I would like.

That is not on any of our regular travel routes, but I think we might be making a trip that way just to check this out. Thanks.

It's well worth a special trip...lots of early Texas history between that area and Seguin/New Braunfels....I really like the area from Matagorda to Corpus to Seguin......Blessing, Palacios, Indianola, Shiner, Yoakum, Gonzales, Goliad, Rock Port, Port O'Connor, Aransas Pass, Port Aransas....

I could easily spend a month in that area exploring one little town after another.....

Need to run up to Columbus about an hour north to eat at Schobels for their daily buffet with desserts. Some pretty good food. I like the buttermilk pie. Need to check times as they are different for weekdays vs weekends. Place is packed weekdays for lunch.

Been there many times back when I used to BPCR at Herman's ranch. My wife loved the buttermilk pie too.

SnakeWrangler I'm glad you posted this. I'm not gonna miss this one.

I duck hunt very close to that hotel. There food is great, and even stayed a few nights there. Worth a visit for breakfast or lunch
