I own 180 acres of land in NE Stephens county. Very good deer hunting as well as turkey and hogs. I have 3 tanks full of water and 3 food plots. There is no running water or electricity on the property. Property is 90% to 95% cover with a few open areas.

I have been feeding protein for several years and we have taken several nice bucks with 3 bucks that field dressed 150 lbs, the largest being 11pt and the other 2 were 10pts. We are very selective of anything that we shoot.

So why would I want to trade this property for something in East Texas? I really don't want to, but my wife is from Arkansas and she hates the type of terrain that we have now. It has some live oaks, mesquite and cedar and is kind of rocky and arid, like all of this area is. I also have a couple of pretty good canyon type areas, so there is some good elevation change as well.

My wife likes tall trees like they have in Arkansas and East Texas. I know the hunting may not be quite as good in East Texas as I have now, but if I could find a place that she really enjoyed going to where we could go together more often, that would be worth it to me. I would want it to be at least the same general size, 180 acres and have a tank or two on it as well.

Anyone out there have anything similar to trade? What do you think?

The best I could do is 80-100 acres in Kaufman county with good grazing, big mesquite trees, and Tall elm trees along the creek with frontage on both sides. One small tank area that can be expanded. Deer on property.
