Stopped to take a break off of 385 south of Fort Stockton. Snapped this quick pic. It was really green out there.

I used to hunt Mule Deer in the Glass Mountains. I remember a huge buck killed by the land owners son in about 1985. Beautiful super heavy buck. We killed a few nice deer but nothing like that buck!!! Thanks for the trip down memory lane. Baker

Great pic, West Texas is greener than I have seen it in a very long time.

Back in the 80's I day worked and hunted on a couple of ranches on my days off down that way. Sure miss that part of the world. Beautiful country.

Back in the early 80's we were looking for a place to hunt Aoudad. Seems like the ranch was the Parker Ranch but not sure anymore. Had a guy fly us around the place. Never saw an Aoudad but did see Deer and a few Elk. Great looking country out there.

I love that part of the state and into the Big Bend area. Lots of good timely rains this year.

Memories of Marathon, Marfa, & Alpine. I wonder if Melba's is still in Marathon.......Coldest draft beer I ever drank after a hot day working in the field surveying on the old Gage Ranch!
