Mossberg. Dependable. Probably fine to get a young'un started.

My youngest is 8 and has been shooting a bps for 2 years. He's big for his age and has no problems with it. I like that the pump controls his rate of fire. I will agree that a small frame kid may get thumped by the recoil. My oldest shoots an M2 compact and does great with it.




Friend has the mossberg youth auto and it's been a great gun for the $$.

nuther vote for Weather Youth 20ga SA-08. Kendall has been shooting this the past 3 years. Sweet little auto. HeII I hunt with it sometimes just for fun.
