The whole state should be in bloom with all the rain. Do you know what the plant is in the 2nd photo. Nice photos.

Nope. I gotta dig in the plant book I bought from an extension agent last month. It was at eye level when I was crawling up out of a creek to go look at an old blind.

Last month the Sotol blooms in Comstock were unbelievable. Probably more than I have ever seen out there.

That's a bit further west than me (North of Brackett) but I swear it looks like the higher rocky areas on my place. The better soil down in the bottom where I put my food plots is crazy high (waist deep) with native grasses now. Only seen it like that once before back in 2007.
