As the subject says, can deer get mange from coyotes? We have a picture of an animal that looks like to me is a coyote with mange.

I thought it was pretty funny when I googled coyote with mange, reports of chubracabras were the first results.

Last summer we had several doe show up with a "spotted" mange or demodectic mange. It is a a whitetail mange only although variations can occur in certain counties. I hunt Comanche County, and contacted the game warden who told me it is fairly common, but the deer are edible. He said it usually disappears by fall, and that was the case. We never saw an infected deer in the late fall.
