What's y'all favorite way to clean your rifle bore? Boresnake or rod and brush?

I use a rod but no brush. Maybe a nylon brush on a rare occasion. The boresnake is for cleaning only out of convenience because you don't have a rod available.
The North has double last names. The South has double first names.

I use a bore snake in my inline muzzleloaders. I use a rod and brush in everything else.

One piece rod, cotton patches saoked in M-Pro7 carbon remover. Let sit for 5 minutes. Cotton patches repeated until they are no longer coming out dirty.
Only when the rifle tells me it needs to be cleaned. Some are 100 rounds, a couple are every 400 rounds.
