We are doing an unofficial THF duck hunt this year. We had such a good turn out the last time we did it, there is no reason we don't continue it.

Dave, Brenda Carter rents my place out at $200 a night peak season, I think it is a min three nights. Holiday is $300 min 3 nights. She takes her cut and the cleaning fee of $40 . The greatest thing of all is when I stay there, I can call the cleaning lady when I leave and I can put the cash on the counter. For that money why would I even think about washing sheets, making beds, vacuuming ect. Screw that, drop $40 and go. During the winter I am sure we can get a whole block of condos there for $100 a night.

We should seriously start right now planning a THF un-official hunt. By then I will have the pontoon blind ready. Also my buddy just opened Hurricane Junction up again. It is 50 yards from the condos. They serve food and beers. We can take a bottle in and buy set ups there too. Later when we have had our fill we can limp or crawl back to the condos. Lets go when the redheads are down and have a redheaded beat down.

I know we can get a 3 bedroom without a designated slip for $100 a night from Dwayne Fishbeck. Dwayne represented me when I purchased down there. There are two shared slips for the 4 condos that don't have slips. During the winter I have never had a problem with these slips being filled up. The condos are pretty quiet that time of year. So 3 guys could stay in one 3 bedroom unit at $33 a night. We could have quite a time that is for sure. The best thing in the world is to pull into a slip and step onto your own dock. No trailers and all that horse crap, just pull up, tie off and step off. No more the days of trailering twice a day and driving from ramp to lodging.

By using the condos we have no restrictions on how many people can attend. I would say 90 %of the condos are rentals that sit vacant most of the winter. They are all willing to deal. Dwayne can obtain all the space we would need.

I see an armada descending on the redheads. I'm always in for that!

if I remember right you have a hard time trying to stay in a boat sometimes also...especially while running narrow creeks

There is plenty room. All you have to do is keep up with the thread. I will post the date (probably in january). I will post Dwayne's number and yall can just book directly with him. I reckon yall l can book each condo as a group or mix in if you dont have enough to fill one up.

Absolutely. We have done this a few times and always had a good time. It is in Port Oconner, Texas and in January when the redheads are in full plumage.

So far as Elder, you know he aint going to drive down here to shoot a redhead. I would love to have him show up but he aint going to shoot diver ducks here when he can shoot diver ducks in Maryland.

We have killed a duck or two on these hunts. Mostly there is a lot of bullcrapping, beer drinking, eating and more bullcrapping going on. Barneywho is it you or the Hayraker that gives me the steady ration of talk about the color of my gumbo. Whichever one of you it is needs to come on down and lets have a gumbo-thon. Winner takes the win and only the win. I will just give you a hint, I am throwing the shrimp, oysters, crab, muscles and my own deer snausages in the pot. C'est si bon. Which one of you two was that anyway.
