Man this sounds like a fun trip, I am going to keep my eye on this thread, I will be a lot further south than usual this year looking around some since I have a daughter going to Texas A&M in College Station this fall and she has made me promise to come down there and take her hunting a few times.
Not sure how that's going to work out yet but may have to keep this trip in mind.
Never really hunted around Aggieland before and not looking forward to it but maybe I can scout up some ducks for her to hunt once or twice. Hunting around there depends strictly on being under the ducks. You got to have an X. I took a guy, fellow policeman, from the forum up there once. We just happened to hit it on the magic button that day. I can still see his lip on the floor of the blind. That was the morning to remember. Definately keep up with the hunt. The more the better.

There is some lakes around that hold ducks but you definitely have to find the X and get to it before everyone else does. A mud boat or air boat helps out as well.

We'll figure it out. Our boys haven't shared a blind together yet and that really needs to change.
We tried a few times. Ryan hardly hunted last year, he is so into his color guard thing. He has been gone since May doing the DCI thing, he got permission from his high school to leave early. He is with the Troopers in Indianapolis, they practiced there from middle of May to middle of June, then they went on tour across the country performing, 5 buses, 3 full of kids, 1 full of staff, and 1 full of cooks and food.
