Apparently I can't post on the 288 thread. I'm within a couple of weeks of the dead line of a return on my scope. Will ATN take care of me if the scope doesn't perform as advertised, or should I go ahead and send it back now for a full refund from Optics Planet?

A PM would the best approach vs a public question.

A Mfr can't or tyically won't dictate sale terms to a reseller. If you have a concern on a return, you need to take that up with whoever you purchased it from.

Yes, apparently S6275 got a private email from Sachel saying he would help him out then he didn't. Now in the 288 thread he is publicly saying that he will.

I am asking for that public declaration that ATN is going to stand behind their product and make it right for the purchasers who have been beta testing their product. Especially if it doesn't come to fruition.

S6275 has managed to get himself banned for the rest of the year. I don't know that I would balance my judgement on a topic with a guy that can't seem to play nice and abide by the rules.

If you're not happy, return it now! I don't see why some of you guys grind away on that decision. They've been working on it all year, I don't see a magic curtain being raised in the next few weeks where everything works. If the dealer you purchased it from won't take it back, go to your credit card issuer for help.

I'm fine letting it play out, I understand not everyone else is. If you're not happy, return it, relax and move on to a different product.

OH, so that's what happened to the other thread that disappeared with the complaints, and threats of going to the AG's? I wondered where it went yesterday when I logged back in. Everyone wanted another thread instead of complaining in the 266 or 288 thread and when they did it got someone banned and got deleted. Is that a fair assesment? Or where some forum rules broken?

There were several forum rules broken in that thread. Links to the Rules can be found in my signature line.

Like anywhere else, you play by the rules or you go away.
Some people you just can't reach.
If you are afraid that the firmware won't be out in time before your return date expires, return the scope.
Life go's on and I'm sure more scopes will be available if and when ATN gets the bugs worked out.

ATN may have some problems, but know too, I have banned at least a couple accounts on one of the older threads because of a user's fake alias used only for trolling and causing problems for ATN.
