Zucchini fries in a Parmesan panko breading Pickle chips and pickled jalapeño slices in a seasoned flour breading Twice fried steak cut fries with a jalapeño ranch dipping sauce Thin sliced sweet potato with a little sea salt fresh out of the fryer My favorite is a whole jumbo shrimp wrapped in Monterrey jack cheese then stuffed in a whole pickled jalapeño dunk it in flour then eggwash, then panko and fry till golden brown. We used to break out the fryer about once a year and do what we called "CholesterolFest".

Don't overload the little ones or your oil will cool off too much.

Mix up one of the name brand fish batter mixes, dip jalapeno slices in the batter, and deep fry them. This is the batter kind that resembles pancake batter, not one of the coatings that is like cornmeal with seasonings.
We do this at family fish fries and it has always been a big hit.
