Right on, HuntTXhogs! As an old Wart Hog pilot, I would say that the coordinates in which Sachal and ATN were located have been thoroughly and completely strafed. Let's try to figure out what's wrong with .288, and wish the folks well that want to continue bombing and strafing Sachal and ATN but have them do so on two separate threads. Entitle one thread: Killing Sachal; entitle the other one: Killing ATN. They can make 3/4 sorties a day to these threads and use the same ordnance until their fingers get tired. And we won't have to sort through repeated Bomb Damage Assessments that all read exactly the same. Do you know why this emoticon exists When you have fellow forum members respectfully asking you to post negative (deservedly so) comments in other threads (designated for) it would be the respectable thing to do, so that we can get

If you've loaded 288 firmware i highly suggest rolling back to 266 and awaiting a more stable firmware build. I'm not at liberty to discuss why 288 was pulled but I'd hate to see anybody have an issue in the field. Have a good day all, IM OUT

I did install .288. Not sure what changed, or why they pulled it. Did not seem to fix anything for me, but by the same token did not seem to break anything further either. ?????Ben - IF you can say, is there a safety reason for me to roll back to .266? If not, I will probably just hang tight. Note, I did "shim" to zero, so am not affected by loss of zero issues.

Guys, some of us want to work with this scope. This thread was intended to be for discussion on a firmware build and not a discussion on how people feel about ATN.
In the other thread which IS intended for feelings about ATN and remedies, it was specifically asked that none of us who choose to work with the scope post in it.
Please give us the same respect so that we can be part of the solution and not part of the problem.

Wow I just read 6 pages(5 of which had nothing to do with .288) to learn that I'm better off doing nothing.
Someone call the AG.. lol sorry ;-)

Someone call the AG.. lol sorry ;-) Bro, be part of the SOLUTION, and here that means only talk about what works really well from any given firmware. Never mind that at this point there is a 50/ 50 chance that for v .288, at this point, that seems to be NOTHING...and even ATN doesn't think so.

This post explains so much to me. SO MUCH. Anyway...I managed to snag v.288, but never got around to loading it up. Evidently it is screwed up enough that people "aren't at liberty to say" what was majorly wrong. Lucky me, eh? Now, let's all get ourselves back on over to the .266 board! .288 was just a figment of our imaginations. Whadahyahsay?

I know I am going to get a lot of heat for this but I think I should say something. First of all, everyone must understand my position. I do work for ATN and represent the company here, but I do not call all the shots. I joined the forum only for one reason - take your feedback to my company and deliver a product you all will be happy with.
I know as a user of any good, I really admire when a company joins a public forum and listens to its customer's feedback. Well I wanted to be your listening "ear" for ATN.
I have been personally attacked by few members here, and initially I understood their frustration, but then they got personal and I had to start ignoring them. There are individuals that I personally refuse to help, just because despite trying to help them their taunts and rudeness didnt subside.
As for the .288 firmware, as far as I know, this firmware was not meant to be released. Someone somewhere wasnt paying attention and put something out that was still being tested.
I would agree with members who have advised to revert back to .266. It is the current most stable firmware.
I am sorry for what some of you had to go through but believe you me, no body here is intentionally doing this. We do not have some sick conspiracy here where we enjoy seeing our customers displeased. We do mean well for our customers and are doing everything, within our capabilities and resources, to fix these issues.

Board profanity filters were circumvented by you, Sachal. I stated that every time you did something like that, I lost another 5 lbs. of respect for YOUR COMPANY (you made that distinction just now, not me). I got banned for a month. You stayed.
I understand that you work for the company. We all work for some company, to varying extents. However, I purchased a warranted product from yours. You originally offered help, and so long as this scope remains unmounted and uncorrected, I am going to get helped through whatever means are necessary. There is absolutely an easier path here, and ATN can still take it.

Let's stop this thread then if the .288 release wasn't intended to be public and wait for the next update.
I suggest any further comments be made via PM, as any further banter between people isn't productive and is simply meant to be a soap box moment. Mods please close this thread!!
