After scoring on the double drop tine buck last Friday we took care of that buck and got him in the cooler just in time for a quick
evening sit. The deer were moving and we saw lots of white tail, black buck, turkey, and the Axis started to really move at sun set.
We spotted 2 great bucks that we made a move on but there were so many deer between us and them we decided to back out and try again
in the morning as I had an idea what area they were headed to.
Next morning we get to a high point to glass down into a draw bordering a field. I crept over the edge and right away had about a dozen
axis does feeding into thick cover, looked a little left and spotted a few more does, small bucks, and one nice buck coming up the rear.
I called my client over (Mike) and got him set up over a clearing the buck was going to pass through. The buck stepped out, I stopped him
and Mike did his part making a great shot on this old buck. 2 hunts 2 great bucks. The rest of the weekend the guys hung out and looked
at all the wildlife and shed hunted. Not a bad weekendwww.westtexashuntorg.com
