Hello everyone - this is picture of my great grandfather, taken in Carrizo Springs at the family ranch. I'm writing a story about him and looking to try to identify the make/model/year of the vehicle in the photo. From some pics I've seen, it looks to maybe be a 1925 Model T Ford Touring edition. I figured someone here might have a better guess than I do. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Going off the two models mentioned, it looks more like a Ford. Take a look at the rear door in George's pic, it doesn't follow the lines of the rear fender like the Carter touring does. The door hinges are also not visible on the Cartercar.

My family seems to think it is a Model T - at least that is what they remember us having, but they aren't 100% sure. The pics I've seen of the Ford 1925 Model T Touring, appear very similar:

Here's the pic of the Carter 15 touring:

They are definitely similar - the curved section from the body to the step up, between the wheels makes we think it is a Ford Model T

STX- thanks for your input and thanks everyone for you responses...this is a family treasure, indeed - we had 2 fires at the ranch house, one in the late 30's and one in the early 90's - both destroying most of our family pics/heirlooms. So, these few pics we have are treasures!!!

Try contacting a Model T club. I know there is a big one in Dallas. Or maybe the National Model T Club.

Thanks Hunt Dog - Sent in the pic to a Model T collector's website and he thinks it's a 25 also...
Will post some more pics soon - my GGFather pictured above was named Erskine Rhodes. We had some very interesting history on our ranch. A man named Bob Lemmons, who Frank Dobie wrote about, and was featured in the book Black Cowboys of Texas (along with many other books), was the 'original mustanger'. My GGF took care of him in his later years when Bob went blind. He lived in a one room house with a large chimney on our property for 10+ years. The chimney still stands and is home to a family of owls. Bob died on his 100th birthday on Christmas Eve 1947.
Here's pic of Bob:

Pretty cool photos. Glad someone took good care of them through the years. A real family treasure.
