Stopped in Cabellas in Allen and they had a good supply of Remington thunderbolt bricks for 32.99 limit one per person.

Those days are long gone. I also remember having a landfill on the edge of town (Reno) where I could shoot up a brick of .22 at old TVs, refrigerators, bottles, cans, aerosol cans, and dozens of other interesting odds and ends. Alas, the place was bulldozed for new apartments due to urban sprawl ...
It was the greatest place in the world to shoot a .22.

Those prices are about $0.07 a round. I bought Win plated at Buda a month or so ago. Quit buying a while longer and they'll be down more. Wasn't that long ago the were 3 cents. Production costs haven't increased that much and most manufacturing gets their best efficiencies running at 75-85% of capacity.
