I'm not a big breakfast or lunch person so I'm looking for some tried and true smoothie recipes.
So far I've tried strawberry, banana and spinach. And spinach, celery, strawberry and banana.
I'm going to try a dreamsicle one in the morning.
For those of you that make them please share your recipe.
Thanks.

Try one with watermelon or canalope. My other half enjoys both. Not sure what all she uses though. Sorry

I know it's a man card violation but surely some of you fellas drink them in the mornings? I like them and they are simple to make and full of nutrients. Would I rather have biscuits and gravy? Yes. But I'm looking for a healthy alternative.

I've never even tasted one...my wife wanted me to start drinking them....I asked if they had one that tastes like beer...she said no...so I stuck with the beer!

Look up smoothie king recipes. That place is awesome. My favorite is the strawberry one. All the recipes are online.

I used to make them for my son who is disabled with some difficulty swallowing. I mainly used bananas, strawberries and yogurt. I added whey powder. I sometimes used apples or pears also with yogurt and the whey. I never measured anything, just added and processed until it looked right. You can find lots of recipes through google though. I looked some up but always went back to throwing stuff in. More fun to me. I never tried any of that California stuff with spinach etc, sure it would be healthy.

Wife makes them all the time with whatever fruit is cheap at store or about to go bad at home. If it's getting old she cuts and freezes. Throw in some milk and yogurt and good to go.

I do one for breakfast most mornings. Three handfuls of spinach, a handful of strawberries and grapes, a banana, and a cup of almond milk. It lasts me all morning.

I do road cycling on the weekend mornings. After burning 3,500 calories or more I usually make a blender of smoothy to help rehydrate cool down and pick up some quick energy. I need quick and easy 1 cut up banana 1 small can mandarin oranges add milk you now have about half a blender start blending and add about 2 oz honey and a bit of vanilla to taste. Drop ice cubes in the vortex until you get a smooth thick texture. If you want sweeter add a couple spoons of sugar. Takes about 5 minutes to make. Want less calories use skim milk, lite mandarin oranges and no calorie sweetner.

I'm not sure if you call this a smoothie. I used to freeze skim milk in ice trays. I would put the milk cubes in a blender and pour skim milk over that and add protein powder and sugar free Nestles Quick.
You can do about the same thing for the milk part with ice, water, and powdered milk.

I use a small amount of milk, fat free flavored yogurt and either a banana or frozen strawberries and blueberries. Put them in a small blender and it will fill up a Red solo cup that I drink on the way to work. Holds me for the morning. Note when you use the frozen fruit it will thicken up to where it seems like frozen ice cream.

ok here goes... 1 1/2 cup almond milk (no sugar added) 2 heaping tablespoons of 0% Greek yogurt 4 frozen strawberrys 6 slices of frozen peaches 1/2 cup oats (old fashioned) 2 scoops of whey isolate protein powder blend it up and drink... MMMMMMMMMMMMM!
I drink this every morning at around 5:30 - 6 am and it gets me to my 11 o'clock lunch. Your getting around 75 grams of protein and tons of energy from the carbs in the fruit and oats.. plus its all good protein and carbs. Just stay away from any added sugars and its the breakfast of champions!!!
