The 17 WSM has been available for a few years now and I have wanted one since they first came out. I did not get one right away as I wanted to wait until there were a few more options on the market. Savage finally started producing a model that I liked the looks of so I made the move and picked one up last week.

I put 48 rounds down range and ultimately zeroed the rifle at 100 yards. After about 40 rounds the groups started to open indicating time to let it cool down and give the gun a good cleaning.
3 shot group at 100 yards with the 25 grain ammo:
Group size was about 0.8 inches and was representative of the groups at 100 after zeroing.
3 shot group at 100 yards with the 20 grain ammo:
This was the best group of the session (about 0.4 inch). Pretty similar to the 25 grain ammo and no noticeable change of POI between the different ammo weights at 100 yards.
