I hunt in the YEGUA bottom in Burleson county.
My blind and feeder are about 500 yards from the YEGUA
Got a call from my landowner that if I need to get in the bottom bring a boat.
How bad is it, you can just see the tops of the fence posts.
Hwy 50 is closed today.
Can just hope that it does not get too much higher.
Just my luck to have to redo everything.

The good news is that you hunt in the Yegua bottoms in Burleson County. I saw that Somerville completely brimmed out and was bursting at the seams a couple days ago.
That's an awesome area. My old place was out there and I loved it, but eventually sold it to get a place closer to Houston.
You'll be fine by the season. There are tons of deer and tons of hogs out there, that won't change.

I remember losing 3 feeders, 2 stands and a hog trap back in the spring of 2007 with the flooding around central Texas that almost washed Marble Falls off the map, same cell moved north and put 40-50 feet of water down Mesquite creek in northern Burnet county. I found the legs of 2 of the feeders where water got so high the barrels floated off the pipe legs and found the hog trap about 150-200 yards downstream about 15-20 feet up in a pecan tree full of drift wood. I found one of the tri-pod stands a couple hundred yards downstream about 100 yards out in an old field 200 yards from the main creek bed. It must have been a heck wall of water flushing thru there. The stuff I didn't find were likely caught downstream or in the bottom of Stillhouse Hollow lake, heck, maybe those alligators have been using them... LOL
hoping you don't have too much damage or loss!

Thanks all, I still could not go out their this weekend due to hwy 50 was still closed.
I talked to my land owner and he said the water was almost to the top of the fence post.
now moving just rising.
He thinks everything will still be there, just hope it didn't get camera's and feeder motor too wet.
I mount my cameras about six feet up and aim down, so hopefully they will make it.
THe blind is on a stand 5 ft to the bottom.
Just got to wait it out.
It sucks but could be worst, at least it's not my home.

Whent out there this weekend all pretty much dried out.
Had no damage, flood waters were around 4 to 5 foot.
Deer tracks everywhere.
Lots of pictures on camera.
But the old YEGUA is flowing pretty full.
If we get the rain in the forecast may come out again.
