I didn't know any lease didn't have cattle in Texas. Every place I hunted always had cattle. Rarely an issue. I finally had one hunt ruined by them but moved to another blind. They don't jump our hog panels luckily. We have a little over 1,000 acres under one fence and sometimes never see them all weekend. Probably have 60 head.

I think it depends on the area that you are in. Old lease - Deer and cows ate side by side.
On our current lease - If there are cows in the immediate area, we do see less deer in that sitting.

However with that being said, we do have a young 8pt buck that insists on eating/drinking & sleeping along side the cows where our land owner feeds his cattle. Just looks up at us as we drive by in the mule. Smart kid.

We have a 100 head plus calves on our 2,000 acres and I hate every single one of them.

Build a pen around feeders... either hog proof or something as simple as a 3 strands of concho will get the job done most the time... its what I have around all my feeders that would have been to much trouble to get panels to.

Get the pen figured out and up before you start feeding though... pretty tough to keep cattle away from it once they know corn is there
