This is the second night in a row I have gotten busted. I put my green scope light on them and they take off. I put it on them slow and start above them and all of that. I was thinking about using a dimmer red light and see if that makes a difference. Yall have any ideas? Appreciate them all.

Set one of these up on your feeder.

they have been educated in the past about the light by someone. You might try to turn down the brightness or try red color.

Good Luck.

Try focusing your light into more of a flood pattern to reduce intensity. I used to use an ND3 with good success.

If this doesn't work try red that can either be focused or has variable power levels.

Red is the wavelength in the visible light spectrum that pigs have the hardest time seeing. That doesn't mean that they can't see contrast. Use the lowest power level that allows you to see them.

Sounds like these pigs have been hunted a few times.

Get some of those cheap solar lights at Walmart that come on at dark and put them all around. Pigs will get used to the light and wont spook as bad when you hit them with your light. I have some really bright LED's that come on every night and shine on my feeder. When we hit them with hunting lights they don't spook.

They get educated after only a shot or two and scatter like crazy when a light hits them.
Even if they are small and in a sounder that's hunted with lights, they remember.

I only managed to get 8 hogs with lights before I switched to night vision.
My average has been much better since then....

We had pretty decent luck with setting out the solar lights.
