So I'm in need of a pair of waders so I try to order cabelas breathable waders and they are on "backorder" online. A phone call is made and the sales lady informed us they are discontinuing them...
Sad day that my go-to waders aren't being made anymore.
Any one hear about this? Any recommendations for good breathable waders under $200?

I'd be surprised if they got rid of them. I plan on ordering a pair for the upcoming season.

They may be releasing a new model. The release new waders every year.

They are junk ! The uppers are okay for the most part but the rubber they use for the boots suck ! I've had four pair of them and the boots dry rot in a season . I even wash them off every time I use them and dry them never leave them in the sun or in my truck . Do yourself a favor spend the money and by a pair of Simms !

My theory: too many people taking advantage of the warranty. That was likely why they changed their policy in the first place, now doing away with them. With all the returns their "models" indicate they are junk.

With all the returns their "models" indicate they are junk. I think it is a bad business decision if they really stop selling them. Changing their return policy to one year should have solved the issue. If anyone took advantage of the return policy, it was me, I confess.. I have had at least 3 pairs of breathables (maybe more), bought 1 pair. I have had 3 pairs of the jean waders, bought 1. The 2 pairs of jean waders I returned, both times the zipper messed up. This last pair I got I'm really careful with, especially since their return policy changed lol. The breathable waders, I know one pair I stepped on a thorn I suspect, leak from the bottom. Another pair (maybe 2), not sure why, but it was like there was a crease in the waders (like they where stored folded, etc...) and made a leak, this was clearly a flaw, and maybe the reason why they pulled the product. I still got a pair, I'm going to try and take good care of them.

Any one hear about this? Any recommendations for good breathable waders under $200? I was trying to find Hodgmans on their website and they informed me that they no longer make hunting waders. Sucks.

More than likely Cabelas makes the company whom made these waders take them back as apart of their agreement. So In essence, the people who took advantage of this "Cabelas return policy" probably put that manufacturer out of business.
Cabelas loses no money other than processing the return.

That link had product reviews that would suggest these aren't a new product

That link had product reviews that would suggest these aren't a new product Apparently just a name change. They could have simply changed the name of the product on the website, and kept the old reviews, I don't know. They still got the "Dry Plus" name, just 4Most in front of it. But the cabela's breathable waders are not going away. I had a member PM me on it, probably works for Cabalas, and I just called them. Cabelas told me no design change, just a name change.

How can my post ruin something that is already ruined? The life time cabalas warranty is gone, just because you never took advantaged of it and bought new waders every few years don't be a cry baby.

Actually Jeff is the one that made all the posts about "life time cabelas warranty", I made a few posts about their return policy in the past but no one listens to me. Jeff on the other hand, he is like the duck hunting internet commander.

Well turns out, it was a "misinformed" sales person who didn't understand that simply the camo is being discontinued. It is the same product number and all, just a different pattern and can now be ordered.
Feel free to hijack the post for good off-season entertainment
