Wife had sent me off while she shopped in Waco. Told me to go kill some time at Cabelas. I roamed around and could NOT find a thing I needed, not even 22 LR ammo (which they had plenty of), so I wandered over to the knife section. Looked at many knives. Didn't really plan to buy one, and particularly not an expensive one, but the Benchmade Griptilian 2 (the larger one) was about the right size and real easy to open one handed. So I bought it and have been using it. IT is REALLY sharp. Can't say yet that the edge holding ability is about normal or above normal, but time will tell.

I don't clip the knife on me, but just stick it in my pocket. I could do without that clip, but don't have any sort of square or star drive small enough to remove it.

Just looked the knife up. It looks very functional and I hear Benchmade has excellent customer service.

They sell a tool kit. I have two Benchmades , the Gryptilian I also use as a pocket knife and a bone collector skinning knife. Both are D2 steel. I think you will like it. The clip does not bother me though I do not use it either.

I have a mini grip and really like it. I wish they made one about 3/4" shorter when closed.
I also use the clip.

Congrats on a very fine knife.

Benchmade makes a mighty fine product.

I carry one every day and have for years.

I have had a griptilian for a couple years and just bought a nakamura 484-1. I really like this knife. Very sharp and not very heavy.

You need to get you a little torx multi bit set. They come in real handy on today's factory made folders. Those clips will eat your pockets up.

Mmmm Hmmm

I carry a Torrent with 154 CM, and it has been the best pocket knife I've ever carried. I can get it sharper and ot stays sharp longer. In the past I had one feaute or the other. Easy to sharpen meant soft and didn't stay sharp. Or I've got better at sharpening.
