Not showing a conservation season on the proposed seasons. Snow goose season would end on Jan 31 with plenty of geese still in TX to hunt. No reason for it. I feel like I'm out of the loop as far as where we are at with the snow numbers but I'd think if anything they would at least just place a limit on them during conservation and not just cut it out completely.
Dear Lord please bullwhip me for saying this but I agree, Marcstar is in the lead. Please nobody use this as a quote!!!

I don't see that proposed anywhere. I only see proposals for a more liberal goose harvest.
My understanding is that they only ask for comments on changes.

The Snow Conservation Season proposal is further down the page in its own section.
Everyone needs to voice their opinion on the proposals for early/late season migratory birds.
It looks like they are finally proposing a Speck season to coincide with the later close of Canadas here in N. Texas. Been waiting on this for years.

I hate to break it to you but there are no purposed changes *The department proposes to retain the season structure and bag limits from last year for all species of migratory game birds and to adjust the season dates to account for calendar shift.

Uh oh, somebody else read the fine print too. Unfortunately for many that requires independent thought and analysis, Bobo!! I prefer to form my opinions on hearsay and rumors!

This is what im referring to. Am i missing something or is the speck season possibly going to end when Canadas do this year in the Eastern Zone?
Proposed Goose Seasons* White-fronted Geese
The Service has increased the number of hunting days available for white-fronted geese in the Eastern Zone, from 72 days to 86. In keeping with the Commission policy to adopt the most liberal provisions possible under the federal frameworks (consistent with sound biological principles) the department proposes an opening date for white-fronted geese that is one week later than last year, adding the additional available days to the end of the season. Dark Geese
The department proposes to increase the aggregate bag limit for dark geese to five (no more than two-white fronted geese) in the Eastern Zone. In the Western Zone, the management plan for white-fronted geese recommends an increase in the bag limit to five dark geese, to include no more than two white-fronted geese. In keeping with the Commission policy to adopt the most liberal provisions possible under the federal frameworks (consistent with sound biological principles) the department proposes to increase bag limits for geese accordingly.
(A) Western Zone.
(i) Light geese: October 31, 2015 – January 31, 2016.
(ii) Dark geese: October 31, 2015 – January 31, 2016.
(B) Eastern Zone.
(i) Light geese: November 7, 2015 — January 31, 2016.
(ii) Dark geese:
(I) Season: November 7, 2015 — January 31, 2016;
(II) Bag limit: The daily bag limit for dark geese is five, to include no more than two white-fronted geese.
* The number of zones and zone boundaries cannot be altered at this time.
