Im going to say cottonwood borer. the difference between this and a longhorn is the color configuration. Longhorn is black with light spots and the cotton wood is light with black spots

I use to get attacked by them when I was younger. They were always around our cottonwood trees. I have not seen one in 35 years

A cottonwood borer is a type longhorned beetle. The Asian Longhorned beetles were introduced from China in the 90s. They infested a large portion of tree farms in China used for lumber. The holes they left made them unsuitable for structural or construction lumber, and the chinese used it for packaging. The USA got them from the packaging.
