My hunting bud and I helped nail one member of a poaching group which has been working the area about 10 miles SE of Taylor for decades. We'll continue working on this problem until all of them are either caught and stripped of their firearms and vehicles or they realize whats at stake and stop on their own. GW made the bust after our initial call after dark Friday night. There's a lot more to this story but the details would give away the tactics employed by the GW and my bud and I. Unfortunately, we're going to have to employ these many more times over the summer to catch the rest of the group. They've been at this for decades working the same area. They won't stop just because one of them got caught.

And so it goes................

Cheers

I have to admit, it was fun. I planned on coyote and pig hunting Friday night.
By the time the poacher hunt was over for good, we were worn out and called
it a day.

Never give up secrets that catch em. They troll sites to educate themselves. Catch em all and hang their pics like trophies in your hunt camp!

Good job scoring one for the good guys! Be careful out there.... those two legged varmints are more dangerous than any other I can think of.

They kill about anything. Deer, hogs, coons, coyotes, Foxes, Bobcats.

ALWAYS a good idea to assist the Game Warden in any way you can. Those guys are understaffed and need good hunters lending them a hand. In this case it helps you and the G.W.

Well done, I hope you catch them all.

Worked in that area many years ago. Had problems with poachers in the area as well as folks spreading milo out around any place that held water for dove season. Stuck with driving an hour or more to hunt someplace safe. Good on you for catching these. Hope you get them all.
