Got invited to tag along on a Snapper/Tuna trip with some co-workers out of Venice Louisiana. Great boat and a great time with some buddies. The Red Snapper bite is stupid easy but the Tuna were few and far between. As the boat captain pointed out its easy to find a place to hide 6000Ft of water. We also stopped on the way in for a few Mangrove Snapper to add to the box. Low quality cell phone photos but thats all I've got. Later folks. Baker

It was fun, I wish everyone could experience a good offshore trip at least once. I've been offshore fishing several times a year since 1998 and it's always fun and intresting. We aren't at the top of the food chain out there and you can witness evidence of this up close and personal. The power of most deepwater fish is incredible to feel. I took several video's with my I phone yesterday that I'd like to post here but I'm not tech savy enough to get it done. Later folks, Baker

Nice eating fish right there. Here is a pic of my tuna trip out of Port Aransas this spring. 151 blackfin, 7 AJ.

Thats a good haul but where were the YF. I've tried BFT several ways and its a little too dark and strong tasting for me. Later, Baker

Nice and great eating fish. I haven't been in several years, the place we used to go out with, went out of business when they lowered the limit. I guess few people want to go that far for 2 reds. I'd like to do the 24hr trip though, they sau those go as far as marlin and big tuna IDK.
