I want one for the bedside. I want quiet entry and big enough to hold full size pistol, small flashlight, and mag. I was looking at this one. Fort Knox FTK-PB Pistol Box Handgun Safe. Any good or bad about this one? Is there another? I have read iffy reviews on Biometrics but not sure.
And, I have a youngster so throwing it under the mattress/nightstand will not be an option. Thanks

Look at the Gunvault line. They have quite a few to choose from and I have had the slim electronic one for a few years with no issues. http://www.gunvault.com/mv500-std-microvault.htmlI did not pay that price you should be able to find one for less then $100.

I use this biometric safe as one of my safes. I like it a lot, and within 2 seconds, it's open. I also have a finger push code that is very fast also. I've thought about buying this Hornady one below, since it pops open and places your firearm ready to grab. http://www.hornady.com/security-products
