I'm on my third don't think I have the time, money or energy to go through training another trial dog. I may run Jessie in some started and Junior tests just to give her some satisfaction.

Good luck with your new pup, field trials are definitely for the "big boys"

there are several diff great trainers for hunt test which i will do also but want him to get started with a FT guy first. if you live in dfw its not hard to find a good hunt test trainer. just not many FT trainers.

I'm familiar with Saber,he's a good dog. I don't know the trainers you mentioned. Frank and Mike, and Mark Edwards are the only FT trainers close to Ft Worth. Tim Milligan is within a couple of hrs.

That's a well bred dog.

I'm really impressed with what Saber has done. He'd be on my shortlist as a sire, but my pup is a EIC carrier as well. He's been a really competitive dog throughout his career. Not many competitors make a legit run at 200 All-Age points.

The dam of that puppy is a litter mater to the 2013 National Derby Champ, if I'm not mistaken.

Should be a fun ride. I'm really enjoying the process with my Grady X Pepper(FC AFC Cosmo x FC Leica) bitch. She just turned a year old. It's so much fun!

*FUN*!! Congratulations... Don't be too quick to overlook us local hunt test pro's. There are a few of us who have started more then a few FC's.

Otherwise,,, I'd look at Rob Erhardt with Silvertip kennels. He's here from October thru April. Super nice guy. He works out of Mark Edwards place. He does all his own work. Young dogs on up.

Mark Edwards has a fella in Arkansas who does his young dogs. A Reece Hudson I believe. He used to do hunt tests a long time ago.
