 makes a person stop & think about wildlife management... just 500 hunters limiting out in 4 deer county, thats only 2,000 deer... Been on hog control here, people complaining about the damages... The other wild game... It finaly went 4 deer, seeing less hogs....

What they don't tell you about the Siaga is that less than 20 years ago there were a couple of million of them. Russia basically declared war on them and had groups with full auto rifles wasting entire herds to supply horn for the Chinese folk medicine trade. They tried to get a sport hunting program off the ground but couldn't really do it because the herds were wiped out so fast. So, I'm not so sure I buy off on the "disease" claim. More likely they are still supplying horn but are using disease to cover the disappearance of the remaining herds.

Sad to see..but it is a pretty ugly looking thing. I'll take pronghorn going up 120,000 now, universe. Gotta balance out the "equation".
