Thinking about getting this for my son who has a muscle disorder. Having a heavy setup helps him not move the gun. What say ye THF'ers? Any thoughts?

I had an sps tactical that was as accurate as they get and the price is right.
I really like the Tikka CTR's in 308
Either will do you fine. That 20" barrel is nice

The only two advantages of the AAC-SD over the Tactical model is the 1:10" twist rate, for a bullet heavier than 168Gr, and the threaded barrel, but that is really on good if you are using a flash hider or Suppressor from AAC as the way it is threaded requires a recess in the the item you are threading on, if using a different brand you will need to have the threads undercut to accept a Non-AAC product.
I have an AAC-SD, both 308 and 300, love both but you need to toss the Hogue stock and X-mark as soon as you get it.
HHUUMMMM, what to write, what to write, I got nothing.

Had an AAC-SD for a short while. If I had kept it I would have changed stocks for sure, the Hogue is junk. The xmark adjusted all the way down was ok for a hunting rifle IMO. All things considered it shot well and probably would have been a sub moa rifle as is had I worked up a load for it.
