I believe that the Sears and Roebuck brand was Ted Williams

I believe you are right. But did they have an actual Sears brand as well?

I have a Sears Model 53, generic Winchester 70 in 30-06 -- $275
Also Model 45, generic Marlin 336 in 30-30----$350

Realize these are more expensive than what you want, but should you change your mind and raise your budget.

I have a 22 that my dad bought as a kit from sears. I was going to give it to my daughter but the extractor is broken on it.

I have a Sears Roebuck J.C. Higgins Model 20 in 12 ga. It has the PowerPac compensator and a few chokes. Built like a tank and functions well. Would let it go for $200. FYI: watch out for Sears shotguns that have been recalled; I believe the Model 10 was recalled due to some defective part. I think my model 20 is basically a High Standard Model 200 made for Sears.
