If I was gonna buy just one 9mm pistol, which one would y'all buy??? Looking for an all around pistol. Carry and accuracy at the range. What do y'all think???? Glock?

Glock, s&w, Springfield will all work. I would look at a compact. It will be a compromise of accuracy and ease of carry. However open carry just passed so a full size would be easy to carry as well. A subcompact would be easier to conceal but harder to shoot accurately.

XDm fits my hand lots better than the Glock so I shoot it better.

Go somewhere that rents different ones and try them.

Whatever Glock fits your hands. 17,19,26,43,35(maybe 34 I do not remember which is 9mm)

Tons of 1911's coming to market in 9mm. Get a 38 super barrel fitted and have a double caliber handgun.

I am a fan of Beretta. The 92-FS compact or the Cougar are my first choice for carry and are also good at the range.

I recommend the G19 for an all around polygon 9mm. Otherwise a 9mm 1911 in a steel gun single stack or Beretta 92 for a double stack steel gun

Accuracy at the range-M9 or maybe another beretta.

Otherwise Glock wins every time for me.

I to want a dedicated 9mm, but can't decide what. So many good ones available. Seriously considering a cz75, browning high power, Sig 226, and all the modern polymers. I have full size pistols, and a subcompact 380, so maybe something in between in size. IDK, can't decide.

Some of you guys really have a different definition of a carry pistol than I do. Even with open carry being allowed, it would be obscenely annoying to carry around something as big as a 1911 or some of the other larger full-size pistols being suggested. I still think the Sig P239 is the best combination of size and shootability I've ever seen.

I carry a glock 26 when I do carry anything. Before hat it was a Glock 19. Both are comfortable.

I feel like the better question to ask is what NOT to carry.

I'm a dude who likes long barrels!

I love my 1911 9mm's and I have three. Before you buy a Glock you should really hold it and practice drawing quickly to your target. For me they have a very awkward grip angle that every time I draw and point to a target I would be aiming high which is not ideal if you are planning on concealed carry. I also really like the S&W Shield.

Glock 19 comes closer than anything else to being the universal best all around pistol. Big enough to shoot comfortably and control effectively, compact enough to carry easily.

My preference would be the S&W M&P Shield9. My wife searched the net for three days tell she found me one back when they were hard to come by. I liked it so much I bought a second one.

I really do like the Smith and Wesson Shield in 9mm for a carry pistol. I bought one for my wife and she loves it and carries all the time. I just want something I can also shoot between 20&40 yards at the range. Really looking like the Glock Gen4 19 might be a good choice??

Thanks for all the input and descussion

Perhaps even better might be some of the high quality Turkish clones. I have a Canik 55 compact with an alloy frame that I prefer over my CZ compact for daily carry.
