How many of you shoot a Tikka? They are not the most popular but I love them the most. They are stainless and very light weight. I can shoot both of mine off handed being so light. I have a .308 and a .300wsm. They are accurate right out of the box. If you are looking for a rifle I highly recommend them. They also make left and right handed bolts(I'm left handed)

Got a .308 that I really enjoy shooting and is my primary for hunting. The T3 I have in .270 will drive nails. I also have two .243s in the safe - one stainless the other blued. The stainless is a buddy's but I am not giving it back to him unless he asks for it or reads this thread grin.

The only downside to me is the cost of additional/replacement magazines.

That price if the clip does get you. The only spare clip I have is for the .308 it's a 5 round but I got it for my birthday.

I have two customs built on Tikka actions. Best action I've ever used.

It's a magazine, not a clip.

I have a .270 and my son has a .243- both excellent. My father in law has a ten year old Tikka in .223 that has had the crap beaten out of it- he paid $250 for it (new) somewhere in Iowa. To my knowledge he has cleaned it, but it drives tacks round after round.

You can call it whatever you want. But, if you call a magazine a clip, you just lost 20 shooting IQ points in my book. It is a major peeve of mine, and shooters often do this. It tells me immediately that you do not understand whats what. There is a difference. And trust me, there are MANY other avid shooters who feel the same way about this, also. So, why would you intentionally describe this incorrectly, if you truly knew the difference.

Generally speaking, a clip feeds the magazine, and the magazine feeds the gun.

And yes, a factory Tikka is a great rifle. I have shot many, and they are capable of easy sub moa shooting, and some under 1/2 moa.

First of all I never knew the difference. Second of all I'm only 18 so lay off of me a little bit. I don't randomly go out and shoot. I am a hunter I only shoot to sight in a gun or when I am hunting.

I really like my Tikka, and expect I'll stick with it.

I presume you meant 18.

Chalk it up as a lesson learned that it is a magazine.

Saying you only shoot a rifle to sight it in and to kill with is not something to brag about. That means you never preactice shooting the rifle that you hope to NOT wound an animal with and get a humane kill. Learn all you can and practice all year as often as you can. We owe it to the animals we hunt.

I love them, too! I have a .270, 30-06 and 300 Win Mag. I have replaced all the stocks with B&C stocks from Stocky Stocks. Great guns!
