gentlemen, I need a replacement recommend for replacing a factory plastic plate that came off my truck at the lease Sunday going through a mud hole. Don't really want to spend 1K unless I have to or it comes with a brush guard or something...Thanks.

You talking about the big cover on the bottom that covers the oil filter pan etc. on the newer models?
I think a lot of people have left them off with no ill effects. I know I see a few trucks every week that have it hanging off dragging the ground... just don't know how people don't hear that.

You talking about a metal skid plate under the engine? Or the plastic wind deflector that hangs below the bumper?

If you're talking about that flimsy plastic piece that is held on by 1/4 turn flaps then just leave it off.

Yeah it was that flimsy plastic piece. it came off over the weekend going through a mud hole at the lease. Red it made a bunch of noise, thought I had flibbered up my 4X4.

On a pickup I don't think I would replace it. The one on my wifes escape is a PITA! but I leave it on because there are some low riding bets under there, wouldn't take much to get up in there.

This is the place to get real skid plates, not just the plastic air dam the factory put on. They make quality stuff.
