Dad bought the gen 2 razor 4.5-27x56 and I have the swfa 5-20x50

I have had 4 guys look through both and glass is crisp and brighter in the swfa. Is this the norm? Anyone else do a side x side of these two scopes?

Razor has some nice features but it's a hvy sob

Can you tell us more about the conditions of the test? diopter and parralax adjusted? Throughout the entire zoom range, etc, etc.

I'm not doubting, just curious.

I got the same report from some friends of mine that were shooting a mile in west Texas a few months ago. They both told me in seperate coversations that the SS was more clear than the Razor.

I stacked up the Bushnell Elite ERS against a Gen 2 Razor last week. The Bushnell had better glass 100 and 600 in significant mirage, and had a better reticle.

Bushnell Elite ERS is a heck of a scope for the $ and considering one, just not sure what toys I would sell to get one

Does it matter if both scopes were set at the same magnification level?

Yes it would. The higher the magnification the more clarity that is lost. Run both wide open, or the lowest high of the two and compare equally.

I understand that completely. I don't like my scopes weighing more than 20 ounces. 25 at the most.

When the Razor 2 first came out I was going to upgrade the PST (mainly for the 10 mil rev) but when I saw the weight I changed my mind.

It wouldn't surprise me the SWFA is as good or better than the Razor.
