I have reliable source telling me that if they do come out with the diesel it won't be until 2019. They are trying to combine it with a 3/4 ton. It is all about the CAFE standards at this point.

I drove 4 chevys in a row before I bought my '13 crewmax 4wd. I won't be going back to Chevy. LOTS more power and better ride/performance for towing, and very comfortable for traveling. There's no comparison to how this pulls and stops a 6-7klb load vs. my 5.3 powered 4wd chevy. Only gripe is the shotglass sized fuel tank and the MPG isn't great, but it is what it is. If I pulled a travel trailer regularly I'd upgrade to one of the aftermarket (50 gallon I believe) fuel tanks and be set.

Surprisingly, the Toyota dealer came off this truck the same amount that Chevy was going to come off of their similar truck ($9500 off of sticker). I had to beat on them pretty well to get there though. Told them they would have to buy my business, and then laughed at them and got up to leave when they initially quoted just under sticker.

I will be very interested to see what comes of the Cummins Tundra. Better fuel economy would make this the perfect truck.

I've been thinking hard about the Tundra and this post has really helped a lot.
Thanks for the good detail
