Seen two of them while deer hunting South Texas, both 6'+. Assumed were possible mates. Knowing what they take out, always get a pass from me. Skinnerback, with that close up of the head, they really resemble a king cobra with their scaling look. Good job on the catch and release, I wouldn't be brave enough to catch but I do here they're fairly docile when caught.

Yes they do kinda resemble a cobra....and yes, they are pretty docile. You normally have to get rough with one to tick em' off.

Indigo snakes are one of my favorite snakes. Very cool critter.
