I went out the other night on a quick walk with my bow to see what the high water was doing. Just as I thought, the woods were flooded within 40 - 50 yards of the road. I figured the pigs had to be pushed to high ground. I walked a trail that led to the flooded area. As I was wading quietly through 6" water, a 3' water moccasin swam by within 5 feet of me. As it was starting to get really dark, I decided it was time to turn around. I was headed back out on the trail I had just walked in on and started flashing my light, that's when I saw 2 more moccasins curled up, about 6' apart, one on each side of the trail, the trail that I had walked down 5 minutes before. After a quick step and a leap, I decided I would walk the road and hope something wandered out. Based on the action that occurred in my Hanes, I was probably winded by every pig in the county.

I went to a public spot about a month ago. I thought the same that the pigs would be pushed to the high ground, well the high ground was flooded, the feild was knee deep. I continued walking any way. There were aligator gar in the feilds!

rofl sounds like OSBWMA... We've been hit with alot of rain this year.. In past we used ta take boat whin the river would flood it... Theirs small area's that ya can find hogs on whin they let the water out above the river.. With the 24-7-365 presure that is put on hogs surounding the WMA, hogs will hold-up on WMA, theirs no night hunts, archery deer, except the draw hunts.. The 3 month general hog hunts, puts a dent in hog population.. Twas Blessed whin they opened it up ta public... Toughest part of the hog hunts their is getting hog out for grillen & chillen... Back pack works best... if river still, even half way up, boat is way ta go... flag
