I need help. I would like to get a night vision scope to shoot hogs with. Can someone point me in the right direction of Night Vision, Thermal vision and the differences please. Strength that I would need etc.
100 yard and under shooting for the most part if possible out a bit further. $2000 max on spending Most likely on a 308 but maybe 223. I feel better using the 308 I think.
Is there anything I can do. I am trying to just look at scopes right now, so many brands, so confusing at this point.

You want to avoid Gen 1 at all costs
Can you describe your typical hunting setup (walk & stalk) , ground blind, elevated blind, heavily wooded, wide open senderos, etc...
For your budget you are looking at either Gen 2 or digital technology
You can google:
Pulsar Digisight Sightmark PhotonXT Armasight Drone Pro ATN X-sight
and from those companies above you can look at their Gen 2 products as well.
Lots of options, and yes very confusing.

Above that you are starting to approach thermal price points. Feel free to call me and I will be happy to answer any questions on these units. Thanks Tyler

Doesn't Arkansas have some screwy regs about hunting hogs? You might want to find out if it is even legal there before you buy.
They make ammo specifically for hunting for a reason!

Florida regs use to say you could shoot them at night, but couldn't use anything but natural light. No IR or flash lights....IIRC
God Bless
