Ok so I've read some into Texas laws on weapons allowed to carry and what is legal to use such as spear hunting in Texas is legal on on non-game animals (like feral hogs.). I know tomahawks are considered a club and illegal in Texas to carry along with throwing knifes. My question is if I own my own land thats decent enough to hunt on am I allowed to hunt how I see fit with what I see fit on my privet property ? Using spear, throwing tomahawk/knifes or am I still restricted from that use on my land ?

I'm sure bigger "experts" will respond, but game animals are considered property of the state and must still be taken with only the legal means spelled out in the regs. I can't speak regarding exotics on your place.

I am also new to hunting, but not new to fire arms in Texas.
When my son and I decided to get into hunting I studied the non game and exotic hunting information, it stated that hogs can be taken by any legal means. It did not specify a difference in legal means between privet property or public property. As far As I can tell legal means are the same no matter if you are on public property or privet property.

Please remember that many public hunting areas have there own rules so check before you go.

I spent my lunch time looking for that statement in the Texas Outdoor Annual online and could not find it but Here are some links to the information I did find.
As stxranchman stated, good idea to talk to Texas Parks and Wild life or Game Warden directly.

Thank You
