If cottonseed and protein are already being fed is there any additional value in alfalfa pellets ? I know a place that sells it bulk and it will work in free choice feeders. We have fed alfalfa bales before but never pellets. Any added value over and above protein/cottonseed?

Not really since it lack minerals that are key to antler development. Same for whole cottonseed and alfalfa hay. I am not a fan of feeding any of those during antler growth since they all lack minerals/vitamins that a deer needs.
