Warthogs on the loose in Texas African hogs likely escapees from ranches that import exotics...article from Lone Star Outdoor News. Will/Can they crossbreed with our regular feral hogs? Big cutters if they can!

Like the saying goes, Chief, "If I'd have know then what I know now..." I'd have shot him. It would've been in the face/forehead but... I didn't want to ruin a good trophy for one. I also didn't know that they are rare as hens teeth, a non-native species. Colt, if I see another I'll just catch him and turn him loose in the Sabine bottoms so you can shoot the warts off of him

think it might be illegal... Not expert, thinking a warthog be more dangerous than a hog... Specialy a wounded one, & i've been threw some thick stuff, tracking wounded hog... As stated, not the brightest on here, tis why huntsolo ...

My cousins dead and gone now, but he always wanted to take his bull dog to Africa and catch one. Jessie was a good dog, but I don't think a warthog was a fair fight.
