It rained most of the day and too muddy after the rain, so I got the camera out and sat on the back porch. 1. A female brown cowbird I think. 2. This girl has laid near the back of the yard all day and looks like she is about to pop. Maybe a fawn by morning. 3. This golden front woodpecker won't leave the hummingbird feeder alone. He drinks more than the hummers.

Its prolly kicking one of your native birds eggs out the nest as we speak... and layin its own in their place We never had many of the cow birds around before but this year there are quite a few. I have heard that they will lay their eggs in the nest of another bird, but I haven't seen them near a nest around here.

Thanks to everyone for the comments. I am fortunate to live in an area where there is a variety of wildlife. Sometimes the deer can be a pest, but a fence around part of the yard keeps them out of the flowers and garden.
