Seems like in the last few years there's been an explosion of new ammo brands on the scene, many that I've never heard of before. Are there any for sure to avoid, or any hidden gems that I should be taking advantage of? This would typically be for plinking ammo .22LR & WMR, 9mm, .45ACP, .223, and 6.8 SPC but if it shoots, it shoots, who cares what the box says. And no, I would never run any steel-case ammo through my weapons.
Brands such as but not limited to: Sellier and Bellot Aguila Wolf Monarch (known to be really dirty shooting) Fiocchi Independence Magtech Prvi Tulammo

I can tell you that 5.56/223 Independence is good to go. Its Israeli ammo but never had a issue with it. Imported by Federal I believe.

I've got some Privi 223 and 308 that shoots well enough to hunt with.

I won't shoot freedom munitions.

Those are all brands that have been around.
New brands are Asym, Lehigh, and G2.

And no, I would never run any steel-case ammo through my weapons. What is wrong with steel cased ammo? I know you can't reload it. But does it damage the gun?

People buy ammo from gun shows and fill in the blank reloading company etc. Only way to find out if a new ammo maker will work for you is to try it. Most of it is just fine.

I won't shoot freedom munitions. Why? Overcharged and inconsistent .223 ammo, so far as seeing no fireball to a huge fireball at the muzzle at 11:00 on a sunny day, blowing out several primers, and blowing up a Tavor rifle. I saw some that wouldn't chamber in a stock Glock barrel, and that's saying something as we all know that Glocks don't jam. Basically, I don't want to pay for ammo that may or may not work.

Also cleared up a few questions.
