You should have started a thread with this question. We all know it when we see it. I'd say a quail for every 2 to 4 acres, open enough to see your dogs, yet cover for quail, and no grass burrs. Water in several areas is a plus.

"No grass burrs"? Thats when we know we've got a good season. Just need to start Tuff Foot about October 1.

Its a tough pill to swallow sitting around missing a majority of the quail season. I couldnt do it
