As I get older the thought of putting 400-500 lb bears in the back of my buggy was just an accident waiting to happen, so I had to come up with something to make things a lot easier. I found a game hoist design online but it just didn't have the support to pick up big bears; therefore, a buddy and myself sat down and came up with an idea....tell me what ya think...

Cheers and stay safe

Well thought out. Do post a picture of a big bear draped over all sides of your Ranger. Where are you going to store the hoist when you're loaded back in the woods?

It looks great. I like the support bar that comes down to the ground for additional support

I make and sell game hoist and looks like you and your buddy did a great job in modifying the unit. Home you get to use it soon.

Your going to love it. As my hunting group got older we got wiser and got us one of these lifts and only wished we would've got it sooner.

I have one exactly like it. My first victim was a 450 lb Red Stag. Worked out nice with very little effort.

I can vouch for Holt's if anyone is looking for one to buy. That thing works great! I use it for loading and for skinning if the skinning rack isn't available. Biggest animal picked up so far on mine is a 270# hog loaded on a Polaris Ranger. and yes, it swivels!

Looks great... only one issue I see - will a 400lb bear fit in the back of of your Ranger ?
